Whether you are a beginner picking up a brush for the first time or a more advanced student, you will find a class that challenges and delights. Our studio is the perfect place to inspire and join a community of creatives. Our teaching artists are skilled in various painting mediums, so pick the one that suits your interest and let your adventure begin!
Oil Painting
Students will learn the principles of oil painting, including:
- Subject selection - from life and photography - cropping, editing, and color palette development
- Point-to-point drawing
- Value sketches
- Color wash, palette development
- Final layers and finishing touches
Students are met "where they are" and coached in a hands-on style - if you are one who learns by doing, this is your class.

a continuous class in oil and acrylic
Explore painting version subjects in oil and acrylic with Sean! This class will focus on:
- Painting shapes instead of things
- Using light and dark shapes to establish a strong underpainting
- Mixing vibrant colors
- Getting the most from your reference material
- Application of paint and various ways to achieve dynamic brushwork
Sean closely works with each painter to develop their overall skills, regardless of their experience level. All levels are welcome!
