About
Susan grew up in Ohio but has spent most of her adult years in Arkansas. For the past 24 years, Little Rock has been her home. At a young age, she decided she wanted to be an artist and has earnestly pursued that goal ever since. She had a knack for capturing people’s likenesses and has enjoyed a productive career as a portrait artist. The last decade, she has devoted painting time to capturing the beauty of nature and has continued her interest in portraiture.
At the International Association Pastel Society competition held in Albuquerque, New Mexico she placed third in the Open Division from over 1500 entries. This award, along with other points earned, gave her the requirements for entering the Master’s Circle. This was a real highlight for Susan. She has worked towards this goal for 7 years!
She is an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of America, a signature member of the Arkansas Pastel Society, and a signature member of the Arkansas League of Artists. She has earned numerous awards for her work in pastels and oils.
