Greg Lahti

Greg Lahti is best known for his vivid and striking portraits and figures in oil and acrylic. Nestled between reality and dreams, his paintings draw the viewer in with their impressive realistic technique, stylized to the central figure, and compel the viewer to experience the atmosphere and surroundings as if one were part of the painting itself. Greg has been described as a “colorist,” and his vibrant, bold brushstrokes reflect an innovative, complex palette.

More recently, Greg has evolved to include landscape painting, inspired by rustic, natural scenes around Arkansas and colorful, eclectic sites from his travels to New Orleans. His landscapes, much like his figures, are imbued with a lively musical quality in the brushstrokes and color. Primarily self-taught, Greg has been recognized and rewarded in juried shows both locally and outside the Little Rock area. His art is in many businesses and private collections in Arkansas, and he is proud to be among the many talented artists showcased at the Art Group Gallery.
